[Leish-l] Fwd: Please help the Brazilian Research Council (CNPq) survive

The CNPq has serious funding shortfalls and its actual existence is
threatened. There is no guarantee that scholarships and research grants
will be paid after September 2019. Budget cuts and resource constraints
also disrupt CNPq's other funding activities in collaboration with
international organizations.

An internet petition  addressed to Brazilian parliamentarians is available
and the hope is to get one million signatures.
