[Leish-l] Indication for splenectomy

Dear all,

I would be glad to hear from you and your experience, when do you normally indicate splenectomy for patients with VL.
Specifically, a patient who was successfully treated for VL (HIV negative) but after four months still with an enlarged spleen, with no trends of reduction.
