[Leish-l] leishmania viability

Dear leishmaniacs,

Again bothering you all.

I was wondering on how long Leishmania parasites are viable in tissue after
a biopsy.

I found just this paper: Hodgkinson VH, Herman R. In vivo assay of
viability of amastigotes of Leishmania donovani. *J Parasitol*.
1980;66(2):245‐249.

Is seems clear that it would depend on the temperature but please tell us
if you know anything else about the subject.
