[Leish-l] Status of PCR for CL diagnosis

In sanliurfa, Turkey, dermatologists placed lesion aspirates on glass
slides and examined the wet mount preparations for the presence of
amastigotes as a quick way of diagnosis. Remaining samples were used for
culture and/or PCR, if necessary.

This is doable if amastigotes are abundant and large in size.

Just pass on the information for your reference.
