Hi ED,
Setting up a repository is very good concept. This will help the investigators working in the various feild of sand flies like biodiversity, transmission dynamics, insecticidal susceptibility , sibling species etc. Once the repository is established entomologist will turn to use it.  I highly appreciate this concept.

Hi Folks, The Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and the NIAID are looking into the possibility of setting up a repository for sand flies. The first issue is: Is there a need for such an asset in the research community and how many investigators would use it.  If you foresee a need for sand flies in your future research plans or have comments about such a repository in general please reply.   This information will be helpful in making a decision on whether or not to proceed.

Thanks,

Ed
