[Leish-l] New recombinant protein for VL diagnosis

Dear colleagues, 

I am Elfadil Abass, a PhD student from Institute for Medical Microbiology in Marburg- Germany. Recently, we have expressed a recombinant protein from Sudanese strain of L. donovani. The reactivity of the protein was tested in ELISA system using various sera of patients from the Sudan, including visceral leishmaniasis (VL) and healthy controls. Our preliminary results are very promising, and thus we would like to test sera from patients from other endemic regions, outside the Sudan. We would be very greatful, if some of you could supply us with such sera and we will consider this support as a collaboration.
