Dormy House II Meeting on Integrated Functional Genomics: On the
road to leishmaniasis control will be held September 24th-27th, 2007
in the Cotwalds in England. The purpose of the meeting is to review
the state of the art in Leishmania molecular cell biology,
biochemistry, host-pathogen interactions, host genetics and immune
response. To formulate key short and medium term objectives for basic
research (experimental and clinical), with high potential for
translation into new avenues for leishmaniasis control in the
post-genomic era. The Meeting has 2 to 3 slots available open for
Young Investigators (under 40 years of age) preferentially from
developing/endemic countries with research in the areas of genomics,
proteomics or population genetics of Leishmania infection (host,
parasite or vector). Meeting fees will be covered and there is partial
support available for travel. Interested individuals should send an
abstract concerning their ongoing research (1 page single spaced) and
a brief curriculum vitae (education and 5 most relevant publications
only) to: Dr. Paul Kaye (pmk2 at york.ac.uk) by no later than August 3rd,
2007.
