The Infectious Disease Research Institute (IDRI), engaged in diagnostic- and
vaccine-discovery, pre-clinical development, clinical /field trials, is
seeking a clinical epidemiologist for day-to-day management of
clinical/field trials of a new second generation vaccine against
leishmaniasis in selected endemic countries. Duties will include protocol
development, some data management, monitoring and training in various
aspects of Good Clinical Practices. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D.
in epidemiology or related area, or a M.D. with a strong background in
research, particularly epidemiology. Experience in clinical/field trials of
vaccines or drugs is essential. Demonstrated interpersonal and
administrative skills is helpful.
