DNA-based Lutzomyia or Phlebotomus identification

Dear Colleagues.
	We are starting a study on the molecular identification of Lutzomyia.
The literature seems to be very sparse, as far as we know. Is anyone currently
working on this approach? We think of starting with RAPD, but specific PCRs,
copuled or not with RFLP, would do fine (possibly).
	How about specific DNA probes. Ready has published something on that
idea some 7 years ago. How are things going now?
