Dear Dr. Rowton, here at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto/USP in Brazil, we have a research group that has been working with hemathophagous insects (Lutzomyia sp, Aedes aegypti and Simulium sp) on the pathogenesis of pemphigus since last years. We really appreciate if our group can be participating of this proposal. I am sending a copy of this e-mail to Dr. Fernando Cunha also. Thank you very much. Ana

Assunto: [Tropmed-l] Sand Flies
Hi Folks, The Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and the NIAID are looking into the possibility of setting up a repository for sand flies. The first issue is: Is there a need for such an asset in the research community and how many investigators would use it. If you foresee a need for sand flies in your future research plans or have comments about such a repository in general please reply. This information will be helpful in making a decision on whether or not to proceed.
Thanks,
Ed
