Recently we were made aware of a research group who were attempting to
publish the same data twice using the same figures and graphs without
citing their first publication. Given the exceptional pressures imposed by
the COVID pandemic reviewers should pay special attention to this aspect
when evaluating manuscripts for publication to prevent the spread of
autoplagiarisms
in the community working on sand flies and leishmania.
