Dear KP,

Yes, you are right. Let me start it with a very provocative issue.

Months ago, we talked about getting a report about Dr. Meta Roenstemberg's
proposal of "controlled human infection model" applied to kala-azar, to be
published in the Newsletter of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine.
I have not done so due to a high demand for tasks, but also because I still
hesitate when proposing it to kala-azar due to my concerns with the
toxicity of treatment.

I would be more encouraged to explore the subject if we get comments from
our fellows leishmaniacs. I include below the link for Dr. Rostemberg's
previously published synthesis of the last year meeting taken in Leiden for
malaria to see what is the community thoughts on the subject.
