Well, kala-azar, black fever or dumdum fever, is an anthroponotic visceral
leishmaniosis caused by *L. donovani (*kala-azar means black fever, because
of characteristic skin colour, Dum Dum is a town in India).
Somewhere, an author talking/writing about kala-azar is thinking on* any*
*visceral form* of leishmaniosis (caused by* L.** **infantum/chagasi or by L.
donovani)* and this could be parplexing...
I suppose that all the leishmaniacs should agree with me...
