+The interpretation of negative dogs using serological assay (recombinant 
antigen , or others ) is very difficult.

PCR technique has a better accuracy to evaluate the dogs than serology. There 
are two studies in endemic area.

In this last paper about 46 dogs with CanL, (diagnosis by direct observation 
of the parasite in bone marrow or in skin biopsies) 42 dogs are positive with 
serology (91%) and 45 are positive using a pcr technique on bone marrow
