Dear all,

We are pleased to announce "The Kinetoplastid Proteome Classification and
Analysis" web pages as an addition to the WHO parasite genome web pages
hosted by EBI.

The pages are analogous to the other recently announced protozoan
parasite proteome classification and analysis web pages but contain data
for all species of kinetoplastids.

The kinetoplastid pages can be found at :-

http://www.ebi.ac.uk/parasites/KinetoGN/Proteome/proteome.html

The pages are updated on a regular basis and currently include :-

- a functional catalogue of all current kinetoplastid protein sequences

- a facility to search the kinetoplastid protein sequence titles and
additional annotation for any string of letters and/or numbers

- a catalogue of kinetoplastid protein sequences placed in key biochemical
pathways

- a catalogue of kinetoplastid protein sequences placed in general
protein/enzyme classes

- a facility to search the kinetoplastid protein sequences using a
user defined motif

- a catalogue of Pfam domains found in kinetoplastids (At the time of
announcement the Pfam pages for kinetoplastids are still in preparation
but should be available in the very near future)

A catalogue of kinetoplastid protein sequences placed according to
sub-cellular localisation will follow in the near future.

The pages are being regularly updated, developed and improved so please
send comments, suggestions and questions to Martin Aslett
(aslett at ebi.ac.uk) and Al Ivens (alicat at sanger.ac.uk).

Thanks,

Martin Aslett,
