POSTDOCTORAL POSITION, IMMUNOPARASITOLOGY
CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY, CLEVELAND, OHIO

Postdoctoral positions are available within the Division of Geographic
Medicine at Case Western Reserve University for the study of immune
mechanisms of disease in mouse models of leishmaniasis and
onchocerciasis/filariasis.  Specific interests include cytokine-mediated
effects on disease outcome, chemokine function, eosinophil biology,
regulation of dendritic cell responses during infection and the role of
costimulatory proteins, such as CD40, on the expression of parasiticidal
and T cell effector mechanisms.  Collaborations for clinical projects
related to these topics exist. These projects are funded for at least four
years by grants from the NIH and Veterans Affairs.  Case Western Reserve
University is one of the top fifteen most-funded research universities in
the United States and has particular strengths in the study of disease
mechanisms for parasitic, mycobacterial and other infectious diseases.
