I have come across 5 case reportS of DCL due to L major, but imagine there
are many more, especially if HIV+ cases are considered:

Annales de Dermatologie et Venereologie 1993;120:461-3
3. (HIV NEG) Lancet 1996;348:405
4. In Phillippe Desjeux's meeting report ("Leishmania/HIV co-infection" -
WHO/LEISH/95.35 he cites on page 7: 15 CL-DCL/HIV+ cases from Ethiopia, 10
CL/HIV+ (some must have been anergic DCL) from Kenya, and one CL/HIV+ from
Malawi.
