It is easy to obtain a fast and heavy visceralization of L.infantum in
BALB-c mice. This infection kills the mice in 2 to 3 months.
The technique is detailed for L.major (but the same is used for L.infantum
in the following paper: "Action of pentamidine-bound nanoparticles against
Leishmania on an in vivo model. Fusai,T. & al. Parasite, 1, 319-324.
