You should contact Dr. John R. David from the Department of Tropical 
Public Health at Harvard School Of Public Health.  Phone: 432-1201.  He 
may be able to help you out.  There are some projects going on in Brazil 
that are realted with your field.  They have projects with visceral 
leishmaniasis in Dogs in Bahia and Ceara.  Both are states  from Brazil.
