The SBMT has just created MedTrop-L. The list´s aim is to serve as a<br>
link between doctors, health workers, policy makers, scientists and any<br>
others who are interested in Tropical Medicine.<br>

You will already have received a welcome message with your password which<br>
enables you to change certain individual list server parameters such as<br>
receiving messages as they are posted or once a week. Messages are sent and<br>
received byregular email and are moderated to prevent<br>
excesses (Jeff Shaw, Carlos Costa).<br>

It is hoped that the list, which is presently a national one,<br>
will become an international forum for the discussion of health in the<br>
tropics and although communications in both English and Portuguese are<br>
accepted English is preferred since it is more international. The list is<br>
an informal venue so the English doesn't have to be perfect just<br></div>

Messages on anything related to tropical diseases are acceptable. We hope<br>
that the list will promote open discussions on subjects ranging for<br>
