<span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1f497d">My comment regarding the use of “burden” or “load” is as follows: The terms are probably used interchangeably but in my opinion, for what it’s worth, “burden” is used in describing
the natural parasitemia in a vertebrate host, whereas “load” is used in experimentation such as when blood samples are artificially spiked or loaded with parasites to specified concentration (load).</span></p>
