Professor Bob Killick, with his peculiar elegance, experience, interesting insights and natural sense of humor always brought many contributions and special comments on many leishmaniasis fields, specially on sand flies. Who participated in ISOPS (International Symposium on Phlebotomine Sandflies) meetings, which he was an the enthusiastic founder, has in mind unforgettable memories. His classic book "The Leishmaniases in Biology and Medicine", co-organized with Wallace Peters, is example of his dedication and love for leishmaniasis and one celebrated title of parasitology and tropical medicine. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'><span lang=EN style='font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>Our condolences for his family, in special to Mirelle. Leishmaniasis has lost one of its icons and the breadth and depth of Bobīs comments on-line and at meetings based on years of experience is a terrible loss to us all. Bobīs career spanned many areas of parasitology. He worked on trypanosomiasis in Nigeria with David Godfrey and on returning to England dedicated many years to malaria, in particular rodent malaria.
