<STRONG>Leish-L</STRONG> was originaly linked to the <STRONG>Leishnet</STRONG> site, howeverT due to server problems it was closed. Recent interest in the Vaccine Congress held in Recife in February prompted the idea of redesigning, updating and amplyifying the scope of Leishnet. This has been generously financed by the Piaui section of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine, who under the direction of Dr Carlos Henrique Costa were intimately linked to the Recfie Vaccine Congress.
There is a move towards more interactive venues (blogs, twitter etc) and part of the site will serve this purpose. An experimental model will soon be available for you to look at.
However, we would be very grateful for any ideas that you have as well as sending us links to important sites and references to classic books or chapters that deal with the <EM>Leishmania</EM> and leishmaniasis.
