Several years ago the WHO TDR Programme put together a battery of
lypholized reference monoclonal antibodies that were available free on
request. I suggest that you write them and request a set of the
antibodies. They included species specific antibodies for L. donovani, L.
major and L. tropica.

Subject: Leishmania MAb request

Dear Dr.Jeffrey Shaw

My colleaques and I are presently being investigated on
Leishmania isolations that were collected from Infected humans, animal
reservoirs and sand fly vectors (CL&VL ) in endemic foci
of I.R. of Iran.We are going to characterize them by molecular
techniques including on PCR & RAPD-PCR.I think if the
isolates are emphasis by appropriate technique
including MAb ,the obtained results will be more valid.
Hereby,I would very appreciated if you kindly help us about kinds
of Leishmania MAb and how we can prepare them.

With the best regards,
