I would love to pay another visit to Egypt. That is a great place to be
humbled by the depth of human history and civilization. <br><br>
Financial support for leishmaniacs in the endemic sites to participate in
WorldLeish is one of the very important factors that must be considered
seriously. This is my personal view. <br><br>
It is important for you and others from the endemic sites to speak up
about this meeting for all leishmaniacs. <br><br>

<dd>Dear Colleagues, A decision is going to be made
about the venue for Worldleish 3 due to be held in 2005. The first
meeting was in Turkey and the second was in Crete. I, and others, think
the third must be held in Central or South America and not at another
centre around the Mediterranean. After all, the leishmaniases are a
public health problem in the Western hemisphere as well as southern
Europe, and it is beyond the means of young workers in the Americas to
attend meetings in Europe. Costa Rica is a possible
venue. Prof Zeledon and Dr Carlo Herrero are willing to organise the
meeting. Costa Rica meets with the enthusiastic support of WHO Geneva and
PAHO, Washington. If you think Costa Rica is a good
place for Worldleish 3, please find a moment to send an e-mail to Prof.
