glad to hear from you and to know about the coming planned WorldLeish3
conference in 2005. From my side I think that it is really a very
good idea to hold it in one of the Latin America's countries that is
suffering from Leishmania just my throughts went to that Costa Rica as a
location in that part of the world may be a kind of difficulty, security
and financially wise, for many people in Europe and Middle East but for
anyone who would like to participate, starting by myself, if the two
mentioned items will be provided to me by that time, for sure I'll attend
it. I really wish if it can be held in Egypt because Sharm El
Sheikh resort area in Sinai can be a perfect place to hold such like this
international conference but it really needs a financial supplier that I
cann't find here, so if there is the latter available at your end and can
hold here in Sharm, it will be perfect but I am not quite sure how will
this location sound among the rest of the participants from the
world.</font><br>

<dd>Dear Colleagues,
<dd> A decision is going to be made about the venue for
Worldleish 3 due to be held in 2005. The first meeting was in Turkey and
the second was in Crete. I, and others, think the third must be held in
Central or South America and not at another centre around the
Mediterranean. After all, the leishmaniases are a public health problem
in the Western hemisphere as well as southern Europe, and it is beyond
the means of young workers in the Americas to attend meetings in Europe.
<dd> Costa Rica is a possible venue. Prof Zeledon and
Dr Carlo Herrero are willing to organise the meeting. Costa Rica meets
with the enthusiastic support of WHO Geneva and PAHO, Washington.
<dd> If you think Costa Rica is a good place for
Worldleish 3, please find a moment to send an e-mail to Prof. K.P.
