<BR><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">N.I.H. Postdoctoral Position/Cell and Molecular Biology of Leishmania</FONT></B>

<P><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Postdoctoral Fellowship available for recent Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry or microbiology. Successful candidate will join active group studying the cell biology of</FONT><I> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Leishmania</FONT></I><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> and related trypanosomatid parasites (a group of parasitic protozoa causing human disease). Ongoing projects areas include: 1) characterization of secretory and surface membrane enzymes critical to parasite growth, development and survival; 2) molecular dissection of genes encoding / regulating such proteins, 3) developmental expression and cellular targeting of such proteins and 4) functional characterization of components of both the endo- and exocytic pathways in these organisms.</FONT></P>
<P><B><U><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">NOTE</FONT></U></B><U><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">:</FONT></U><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> Fellowships available only to those with</FONT><U> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">less</FONT></U><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> than 3 years of postdoctoral experience. Salary is contingent upon experience starting at $33,000 per year.</FONT></P>
