On the 8th of August, 2002, at the closing Plenary Session of the 4th

International Symposium on Phlebotomine Sandflies in Salvador, Bahia,

Brazil, a clear majority of the participants voted with enthusiasm to

accept the kind offer of Professor Delagi to act as host for the 5th

Symposium in Tunisia in 2005. <br>
