Subject: L. major WHO strain MHOM/IR/-/173

Our research team is presently working on Leishmania genomics. One strain
of L. major that we use in our lab is referenced to as World
Health Organization strain MHOM/IR/-/173 in the litterature. I need
information concerning this strain, i.e.: origin (I guess human,
but what kind of lesion and what type of prelevement ?),
clinical details, date of collection (seems undetermined), isoenzymatic
profile ...

I have presently just subscribed for joining the leish-l discussion
group, and I am waiting for confirmation. However, perhaps it is possible
for you to give me already any detail about this strain or indications to
how/where I coud find them.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.
With best regards
