HI All,
The idea is great, the real benefits are questionable.
I don't think the scientific community should put more difficulties to implement such a program, but help to do it the best way it is possible.
I do not believe the solution for Leishmaniosis Problem in Brazil will be with just one tool.
We are currently doing a cohort in dogs in collaboration with other Universities to see where we should aim our focus at the canine reservoir.

To all,
Before starting such a program, the results of clinical trials and a strong
cost-benefit should show the efficacy, if the vaccine prevents the
appearance of clinical symptoms or postpone the symptoms then by
vaccination more infected animals without symptoms are available for sand
fly bite (more reservoir animals).
