[leish-l] Trypanosomatid genomes

Dear colleague

As you may be aware, the genome sequences of Trypanosoma brucei,
Trypanosoma cruzi and Leishmania major will be completed later this
year. The sequencing teams intend to publish the genomes and associated
papers in a leading journal in summer 2004. The genome data are
currently available via the web at the following sites:

http://apps.sbri.org/genome/;
and http://web.cgb.ki.se/Tcg/.

The sequencing teams and funding agencies associated with the project
(Burroughs Wellcome Fund, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious
Diseases, Wellcome Trust, World Health Organisation) are investigating
the possibility of producing a CD containing the genome information. We
are seeking the opinion of researchers in the trypanosomatid community
on the usefulness of such a product and would be very grateful if you
could help us by completing a questionnaire about the CD. You can access
and complete the questionnaire via the web at
http://surveys.wellcome.ac.uk/defaultp.htm . Please be aware that this
survey can be completed only once from an individual computer.
