My civilian husband came home from Iraq severely injured in an explosion on
July 7.  He had leishmaniasis that went undiagnosed until I read a newspaper
article aboutsoldiers coming home with it in December.
We are looking for topical treatments.
The DOD is not accepting responsibility for telling anyone this is a huge
problem there.  I am contacting as many as I can.
One medic I spoke with is treating a local who he now realizes has it.  His
whole family has it.
Wanted you to be aware of situation and I would like to pursue the
enlightenment of the contractors and find out what we can do for the locals.
I'm very scared by what I've learned.  I could well have gotten from my
husband because we didn't know he has it.
Advise if you can.
