I too was deeply saddened to learn of Dr. Bhaduri's passing.   I first met
him in 1991 at the IICB and was impressed with his warmth, love of science
and dedication to the Institute.

I am deeply saddened to hear that Dr. Amar Bhaduri passed away. This is
an unexpected news. Dr. Bhaduri was my friend and colleague for decades.
He is a biochemist and former Director of Indian Institute of Chemical
Biology, Calcutta, India. He and his colleagues published many excellent
articles on Leishmania plasma membranes and transport mechanisms. He
represented our Indian colleagues as a member in the Scientific
Committee of WorldLeish II. He will be missed by us all.
