Specialization Course in Pathology of Tropical and Infectious Diseases.

Dear Sirs,
The Institute of Tropical Medicine of São Paulo, in collaboration with 
the Dept. Pathology and the I.I.E.Ribas, will promote a course of 
Specialization in Pathology of Tropical and Infectious Diases, with 8 
weeks of duratnion during May and June of 1998. The course is recognized 
by our University as an specialization regular course offered in the 
first semester of even years. The course is devoted to training of 
physicians in pathology of Tropical and Infectious Dieases, coordinated by 
Profa. Dra. Maria Irma Seixas Duarte and me, and is divided in three 
segments. The introdutory one is devoted to techniques and new 
developments on pathology research of Tropical and infectious diseases. 
the seocnd and third are mixed. In the morning of each day, the students 
will deals with diagnostic pathology and in the afternoom, concepts on 
the pathogenesis are discussed. The course is segmented as Virology, 
Bacteriology, Micology, Protozoology, Helminthology, Nutritional and 
Environmental disciplines. 
The course is held in Portuguese, but Spanish speaken students had very 
few problems in hte understanding of the Protugese speach.
