>Professor M A Ferguson-Smith, the Professor of the Department of Pathology
>and the Superintendent, Mr William Mortimer have decided that the
>Department cannot host or pay for the 75th Anniversary of the Molteno
>Institute Open Day and Party on the 29th November 1996.
The main reason is that less than 100 replies have been received. Although
most of the present and past members of the Molteno in Cambridge, have
indicated that they will attend, very few from outside Cambridge have
indicated that they will come on 29th November. The Professor feels it
would be better to postpone the Open Day until the Molteno building is
completely refurbished and a proper Open Day can be organised with
considerable advance notice.
>
>Accordingly the Open Day and Party on the 29th November 1996 and postponed
>until 1997, during the 75th year. However Douglas Barker, the second
>longest serving present inhabitant in the Molteno, feels that the occasion
>shouldn't go unnoticed and therefore invites present and past members of
>the Molteno to have glass of wine with him between 5-7 on Friday. This is
>not an official Department of Pathology party but any member of the Molteno
>Institute or Molteno Laboratories is welcome to attend.
>Yours aye
Dougas

PS Thanks to all past menbers of the Molteno who have sent messages.
The list on thw WWW will be continually updated throughout the 75th year so
